St Luke The Evenglist Parish Revesby
There’s an old saying that goes, “Once a Catholic, always a Catholic.” Maybe you have been away from the Church for a little while or for quite some time, but now you feel a tug at your heart calling you back to the Catholic Church. Listen to that tug. It’s your Heavenly Father reaching his arms out to you, the Holy Spirit whispering in your ear, hoping to draw you home. We hope you accept this as your invitation to rediscover the truth, wonder and mystery of the Catholic faith. As your brothers and sisters in our worldwide Catholic family, we want you back. We’ve missed you, and our Church is not the same without you. Regardless of why you left or got out of the habit of going to Mass, you can always come home and return to the practice of the sacraments and the fullness of relationship with Jesus Christ and the Church he founded. We are Catholic. Welcome home. Please invite your family members & friends who haven’t been to the Church for a while to come for this five weeks support program that aims at helping Catholics return to the Church commencing Tuesday 4th August 2020 at 7.30 pm at our Church. For more information please collect the pamphlet from church foyer or contact the Parish (details below).
There are many different paths that lead people to consider the Catholic faith. Life events, family and friends, joys and sorrows can all draw a person to respond to God in faith. Each year adults of all ages from different walks of life decide to become members of the Catholic Church. People are also welcomed to find out more while still feeling undecided. It’s important to know that there is no obligation, cost or pressure for a person to become a Catholic. At St Luke’s we offer assistance and support for people considering the Catholic faith through our RCIA program. Our volunteers and Parish staff are ready to help each enquirer with the first steps in finding out more about the Catholic faith and becoming a Catholic. We will hold an information night on the 12th of August at 7:30 pm. There is no commitment needed on this night. It will be a relaxed informal night for you to find out more about the Catholic Faith. If you would like to be a volunteer please contact the parish office.
